Cindy Zydzik was diagnosed with non-squamous cell carcinoma in 2016 and felt that Ascension Columbia St. Mary's was her "home away from home" as she underwent chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy. She appreciated the care provided by Dr. Keefe and all of her nurses, doctors and aides. 

 

In 2022, Cindy was diagnosed with a different type of cancer and after fighting as hard as she could, along with her care team, she peacefully passed away on August 2.
